To clients around the world 'Bright Arts' means high quality, prepress work from an efficient, service-oriented staff. Many of our people have worked together for the past decade. During this time their knowledge has been enriched through training and exposure to latest equipment and software. By combining knowledge with leading technology there are few jobs too complex.
Bright Arts began in 1974 when two friends with 15 years experience together took the risk and set up on their own. Sunny Shum and Jimmy Wong and their six staff were later joined by Mr. Shum's brother, Henry, as the company grew quickly. Their many local clients introduced them to international publishers and their commitment to producing high quality colour separations featuring delicate water colours and artistic renderings confirmed their reputation.

In 1986 Bright Arts moved their factory operations to China. This allowed the company greater floor space and a well-trained, low-cost labour force that improved their cost competitiveness. Jimmy Wong and Henry Shum now run the factory in Shau Tau Kok and have over 200 employees. Several Hong Kong managers moved with the company and their skills maintain quality, order and efficiency.

With a commitment to investing in the leading edge technology and purchasing the best equipment, Bright Arts works to stay ahead of the competition. To keep up with clients requests for new products from Iris Proofs, Ozalids, Matchprints to hi and lo-res images for manipulation in QuarkXpress, InDesign and Photoshop, the technical people at Bright Arts are constantly experimenting with new software, hardware and methods of prepress production to help clients with problems and solutions. It takes a strong commitment of resources to stay ahead of the technology in this rapidly changing environment.

In 1982 Bright Arts established an agency agreement with Imago enabling Bright Arts to expand it's work with clients in the US, UK and Singapore. Through Imago, Bright Arts reaches clients all over Europe, throughout the east and west coast of American, the Gulf States, South Africa, and greater Australasia.

Where there is sufficient volume Bright Arts is happy to work directly with clients. We are also happy to consider smaller jobs and commercial work, but these clients may find it more effective to work with Imago to ease the communication and provide localized in- depth knowledge and consideration.
